Aztecs were known as warriors. Their story begins around the year 1200, when they settled in the Valley of Mexico. Soon, they started dominating the native-Americans near the central America and built their capital city Tenochtitlan in 1325. It was a massive city, protected by walls from all side and with a grand architecture. Like Mayans, Aztecs also built pyramid-temples.
Around the year 1500, the Aztec civilisation was at its peak. The Aztecs ruled around 10 million people during this time. But it was also the time when the decline of the empire would take place.
After the Spaniards’ led war (backed by tribes which were against Aztecs) on Tenochtitlan, which continued for a year, the Aztecs lost their king. Thus, the empire had fallen. And a new civilisation era began.
